Very nice park! We got a nice spot on the river. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful setting out on a peninsula on the Coosa river. A touch of highway noise, but not bad at all. Sites are a little close together. Three clean pools and a playground.

stayed for a weekend for a wedding
This is one of the worst RV parks we have ever stayed at, and we have been RVers for a long time. We were accompanied by a camp worker to our site. We do NOT have a big camper (26ft) but our camper was literally in the road in front of our camper and in the road in the back! i asked the worker where in the world am i to park my truck? He looked around and told me to park it on the site next to me! LOTS of fulltime campers there so everyone stares at you like you are an alien. We were very disappointed at the park. Sites are extremely close. Cannot even give this place 1 star. Too many nice places nearby to stay at this dump.

Great Park
Under new management, the name has changed to River Rock Landing. We stay here one to two times a year, they are opening a restaurant at the end of October. Some sites are narrow on the lake side, the sites could be leveled some. Close to everything you need but the park is located on a pennesula so you would not think you are near anything.

Upgrades Coming!
The campground is under new ownership. They are starting upgrades, making sites larger by moving some utilities, defining roadways better adding a snack bar/restaurant, addition of several tiny homes/cabins. Also they have moved the game room near the playground. More improvements to come from talking to staff. The men who help you get parked are extremely helpful and nice. We are here for Labor Day 2019. They brought in a blow up water slide for the kids and you have 3 pools and a splash pad. On the river with multiple docks and a marina with a few slips and a launch. Close to places to eat and shop or just sit by the river!

Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer
We’re new RVers and this was the second RV resort we stayed at. This is about 6 miles off the main Hwy. We have a 37’ ft Class A and had a lot right along the river which had beautiful views. Lots are a nice size and very clean. There is a little walking path around the river where we walked our dog. Wish we could have stayed another night or two.

Awesome Place
We stayed only 1 night due to our travels plans. We wish we had the time to have stayed longer. It's an amazing resort, very well maintained, awesome views, great customer service from the host, awesome playground for the kids that is fenced in with locked gates, fishing, watersports, pools, the works. Easy in and out, level spaces.

Home Away From Home
Amazing staff, lots of space, and was sad we couldn't stay but two days. You definitely feel like you're on vacation when staying here. The worst part about our entire trip in this area was the roads. If you're pulling a travel trailer or 5th wheel, the roads from Birmingham to Gadsden will beat you to death! Be safe!

Repeat Retreat
We discovered River Country shortly after purchasing our RV. Although we were experienced tent campers, we were new with the RV and the RC staff was very helpful and informative. The amenities and the individual service and care the the staff helped us find the weekend retreat of our new RV simple and easy to use. We love being there so when we think of getting away, most often, we head to River Country. We love the grounds, pools, view of the river and the walking paths as we travel with our dog and enjoy the outdoors. When we want to go to town, we enjoy the small restaurants and shops in Gadsden and we like to support the downtown businesses.

River Country Campground is a hidden treasure. It can accommodate any size RV. Lots of amenities. Friendly staff. Very clean. We stayed overnight in a 40 ft motorhome with a tow.

Maiden Voyage With Airstream
Jim and Rita were the absolute best to these baby boomer newbies! Our site was right on the water, they loaned us a ladder and a cable for tv. They were the absolute best! Much love and thanks!
