Stay Away
I have no clue what happened over the past few years, but this is the worst KOA i’ve ever been to. First off, we arrived to the campground surrounded by junk yards and trash. There were no staff in-house, just a note with our reservation. Then when we went in the cabin which definitely wasn’t ever cleaned. It also only had 2 OUTLETS open in a 2 room cabin (both in one room, we had to unplug the fridge). When you think it can’t get worse, the wifi didn’t work at all and hope you can get used to hearing people drive atvs around the block the entire night. Ended up sleeping in our van because the beds were also terrible. Also I almost forget in the night they play star spangled banner and morning they play the army wakeup trumpet over an intercom, like why?? So good luck getting any sleep (real fun as we had to drive 4 hours the next day). To say everything wouldn’t even fit the word count! Overall, stay away from here at all costs!

Standard KOA
Some sites with trees, some without. Full facilities but pool was closed due to some mechanical issue. Near Craters of the Moon (17 miles) so we stayed two nights so that we could spend a full day at the National Monument. Loved Craters but it did get hot by mid afternoon. We drove the camp loop of onsite CG while there and it is special built amongst the lava flows but would be hot since few trees and no electricity, also is FCFS.

Off the main highway, quiet at night. Roomy and long enough spaces for big rigs. Great helpful staff. Close to Craters of the Moon. Maintenence staff visible all day keeping the place clean and mowed. Free waffles. Evening meals and ice cream offered for a fee. Would stay again.

Great Staff
Staff are very nice and helpful. When we checked in they drove in front of us in a golf cart to the spot. They where watering the grass though out the park when we got there so they shut off the sprinklers and moved the picnic table out of the spot so we could just pull in. We noticed they did that for everyone that pulled in. Grounds are well kept.
