Nice Bathrooms
Great quiet park. Playground, clean bathrooms, creek behind most sites. Owners were super nice. Some permanent people but no issues.

Elk Hunter
Saw above average rating on compendium. Had to change plans and needed a place to stay to get us home after being on the road for two months. Took a chance. Expensive for a small site on the river. Site was muddy and lacked gravel. Half campground is permanent and the other half [ 7 sites] were for short term. Paid $45 with tax for water and electric. The site was small but ok for one night. Told they had a dump station. It was a sewer Clean out with a garden hose. It worked but not up to sanitary codes I'm sure. Would not go back except with no other place to stay. Nice people but facilities marginal.

Caddy Shack Hell !
Definitely not for outsiders . Deb the owner was not too keen on gays. And certainly not pet friendly!

Simple
Small campground located close to the falls. Peaceful with small stream next to the grounds. No breed restriction, had two pitbulls there without any issues. Would visit again.

Close To Falls
Small campground, does have cabins to rent. We had 26 ft with mega cab, fit into site 6 with porch overlooked river. Quite area, electric, water , sewer. We did not or need anything else. No TV, no wifi, no major amenities. This is not a RV park. Small playground, small restroom, nail salon on site. Not bad for 1 night in travel trailer. Nice people, locally run, close to black mountain and old fort town. McDonald's, Hardee , gas close. If you pick on the little man running a small campground then you must want to spend $$$$$. Close to falls very busy area in nice days.

Photoman
“Photoman” The one rating this park has ( five stars) had to have been entered by the park owner. We decided to stay at this park for two nights as it was near the location we needed. On the phone the desk said they had beautiful site on river. Arrived in our 36' 5th wheel only to find a park that had all perms except maybe three sites. All Rv's were under covered metal roofs. Junk piled everywhere . They forgot to mention they only had 30 amp. No cable, nothing received on tv ant and too many trees for satellite . Anyway, for some reason I still don't understand, we went ahead and paid our two day fees. Next day realized they are a Passport America park. Ask if they would adjust our fees and never would say yes or no. Left knowing they would not adjust. Bottom line this is a family enclave not well suited for outsiders and we will certainly never return.
