Wonderful experience! Camping spots are spacious & shaded by lots of trees. Full service lots also have a paved pad for the picnic table, as well as the pad for your RV. We stayed on an electric only lot. Bathrooms & showers were clean, and the grounds well-kept. It would have been nice for another bathroom/shower house nearer to our lot. Pets are allowed on a leash; everyone had their dogs under control, no excessive barking. Things quieted down by 10, though there were several large family groups there. Plenty to do: The beach is very nice. bike & walking trails. There are quite a few covered bridges in Ashtabula county. This is also a wine producing area, Grand River Valley. We were surprised at the wine selection. Never had been impressed with Ohio wines, but these wineries had some great varietals. We paid $35 booking online, but that may have included an online fee. This park was beautiful, quiet, and just what we needed after a long day on the road. Water spigot was on the “wrong” side of the check-in station, so we filled up from a spigot on a drinking fountain. Dump station basic but fine. Showers a little older but clean and well-kept. Setting so beautiful! We drove to the beach and the kids could wade, walked out by the marina, and enjoyed our first real encounter with Lake Erie. Friendly campers all around us. Public volleyball net in the middle of the campground. One set of bathrooms was closed but we’re not sure why. We wish we could have stayed longer! Just what you want if you like a park setting.

Awesome Stay

Camped from a Tuesday to Friday at this little gem right before the July 4th week. It was a little wet on and around most sites but they recently had lots of rain, but it dried out nicely by Thursday. Some sites are currently being renovated. Some full hookup sites are nicely laid out with concrete pads and concrete under the picnic tables. We camped in a small trailer and we're fine with just electric. There is a whole walk in section with electric only, very level sites great for rv's or tents. Great bike trail that goes to the beach, marina, and lodge. Awesome zip line nearby
