Not for the faint-of-heart during winter

This place is awesome. The sites here all have a shelter with a picnic table and there's a bathroom in the vicinity (probably a good idea to bring your own TP). It's situated above Lake Meredith, with great views but no shoreline access. Some sites are close together, but I don't think it gets very busy out there- it's pretty remote! We camped one night there in JANUARY on a spur of the moment road trip and it was quite the adventure due to near freezing temps and 30+ mph winds! We set up camp, but packed it in and drive around 2:30AM after waking up and fearing for the structural integrity of our tent. We had a great time there, we can't wait to go back in the summer. Just make sure your gear can handle the wind and don't get your car stuck- some of the site entrances are moderately rough terrain. IT'S FREE TO CAMP HERE!!
