Overcrowded City Park

Not recommended. The camp sites are adjacent to the busy day use area. Be prepared for noise and lack of privacy. Sites are crammed together and tight. On the positive side the views are excellent.

Incredible Location

City park with an upper forest and lower beach level. Upper level: 3 cabins ($95) and 10 tent sites ($20). Lower level with Sound views: 26 Rv ($40), 3 Tent ($20), hiker/biker and Kayak site ($7 per person). Can reserve 10 days in advance, limited to 10 days in a month. Large day use park, old functional bathroom in RV area with free showers. Newer bathroom in day use area with no showers. Most tent sites are walk-in. Rv sites 30 amp no sewer, no dump station. Fire pit/picnic table in all sites. 8 person limit per Tent RV sites (include children in count). State/county burn ban in effect most summers so bring a propane grill and propane fire pit. No wood, charcoal or pellets. If no fire ban then firewood available ($6).

Great Place

We tried this place just on a whim. We had a great time. The park is clean and quiet. It is right on the shore of puget sound so we were able to watch 2 humpback whales from our travel trailer. I would recommend this park. It has a cool pirate ship themed playground so kids would love it also.

Amenities Correction

FYI - This park does not offer electric hook-up. Also, it's worth noting that there is no dump station (or site sewer hook up). The closest operational dump is 1 hour away, so plan accordingly. A sign at the park refers RVers to a private campground 20 min away for dump services, but understandably they can only accept waste from their own campers due to cost & volume restrictions.

Great For Visiting Bainbridge

This park is managed by the city of bainbridge island. It is actually open all year. It has a nice beach and great views of the sound and Seattle it is heavily used by the locals for day use. There is a camp host in the summer. In the winter you can use the host site which is full hookup. We visit friends on bainbridge and stay here when driveway camping isn't possible.
